The Won Institute of Graduate Studies is honored to announce the receipt of a $10,000 grant from the Disabled Veterans National Foundations (DVNF). This grant will fund Go To Them:Meeting The Health Care Needs of Veterans, a project bringing acupuncture, meditation, and Tai Chi services to existing locations that serve veterans in the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Go To Them provides our student practitioners with the opportunity to understand the treatment needs of veterans allowing them to better serve veterans in their own practices.
Locations include:
- Stephen Klein Wellness Center – an agency that empowers individuals to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through affordable health care, housing, employment and education
- Pro Act – a recovery and support organization providing services to individuals and families in their recovery from alcohol or drug problems.
- Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service Center – The only non-profit agency in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas that provides a comprehensive resource center available to all veterans in need.

Hello,
My name is Rhonda Hart. I’m the Community Engagement & Partnership Coordinator for the Corporal Michael J Crescenz VA Medical Center, formally the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. We are currently in the early stages of developing a Bucks County Veterans Suicide Prevention Coalition for service members, veterans and their families to prevent suicide, in Bucks county. I see that your agency provides veterans in recovery acupuncture procedures “to strengthen recovery efforts, reduce stress and PTSD, and reduce other harmful behaviors.” Are you or your community outreach specialist available for a virtual meeting or phone call to discuss a possible collaboration/partnership?
Warm regards,
Rhonda
